Posted on 26 January 2021 by AdminI-DAVA was impounded by the CAA 21/10/2010 on behalf of Eurocontrol due to unpaid navigation charges by Itali Airlines which had ceased operations. The leasing company that owned the aircraft declined to pay the bill that would have allowed them to reclaim their aircraft, so it was put up for auction to reclaim some of the money owed. it was acquired by Gatwick airport and is used as a tug trainer replacing the previous Comet.
