It is indeed the same aicraft. Over the course of its carreer in the Spanish Air Force the F-5 have been redesignated from C.9 to A.9. So this particular one started of as CR.9-062 and later became AR.9-062. Originally it was in the museum as AR.9-062, later it was repainted and got its original serial back. See these two pictures from 2015 (https://www.airliners.net/photo/Spain-Air-Force/Northrop-CASA-SRF-5A-Freedom-Fighter/2753039/L) and 2022 (https://www.airhistory.net/photo/450865/CR9-062). Exact same location in the museum, but different serials and codes.
Posted on 21 September 2022 by AdminI visited twice, last time being sept 21, what a great museum, I photo'd 2 F-5's one being CR09-62 coded 464-62 and the other being AR.9-062 coded 23-62. Jetphotos has both AR.9-062 and CR.9-062 as being the same a/c by the c/n 2062, obviously is cant be. Any offers as to true identity of both a/c.

Posted on 2 February 2018 by Erwin AlexanderI am no expert on early Spanish Air Force serial systems, but old time photographs of Brequet 19s suggest the serial is actually 72, with 12 probably identifying the unit. This plane used to be preserved as just 72 (with the numbers large in the Spanish flag in the tail). Other photographs from the 1930s also show planes with the serial presentation as such.
