Posted on 7 August 2023 by AdminThis frame is not 1G173-17 as reported by Martin Oswald, although it has been widely believed to be, since it surfaced in Denmark in 2006. I was inside this plane on 29 Jun 2023. Plates on both steering columns in the cockpit give its former ID as CCCP-40787, meaning that this is in fact 1G173-14. I have confirmed my plate findings with well known Soviet Transport experts Peter Hillman and Adrian Morgan.
