Posted on 10 September 2024 by Hitman69As far as the Nimrod XV232 I was invited on board and got a lot of information from the crew who actually flew it during the Falkland war. It made the longest flight with three AAR on the way. They also hoped it still would be possible to leave the aircraft at its present position. They still do monthly engine runs.
Posted on 15 August 2024 by Wouter RoerdinkThanks for the info, in fact it seems like (though I cannot find final confirmation) that the plane was actually moved to Elvington this week. Supposedly even to be flying again... Time will tell. Plane moved to location #4399. And no problem, all comments are checked and used to update the listings, every bit of info is appreciated.
