Some more research shows that the Albatross nose is not the real 1267 (which was exported to the Philippines). It might well be the N265ES, which was stored in Opa Locka until it was scrapped in 2013 and the nose here appeared in 2014 (former USN 141265). Another option might be the N7027J, which was still registered until 2013 when it was sold to a new owner in Oklahoma and no info of it since (former USCG 1265). I have listed it now as N265ES, but this is not confirmed.
Posted on 13 February 2023 by AdminHi the Grumman HU16 marked "1267" was registered N265ES it is serial number 141265 according to my database, it also shows as de-registered on the FAA N Number registration site
